It is nearby so travel time is minimal. 6600 yards from the tips, and you can really do well here if your game is on. The Marshalls are always good, and everyone we have been paired with when playing there has been very nice. Played with two members that day a wife and husband. Front nine was fairly open but the back nine was more tree'd and required arrow straight tee and approach shots. Overall the course was well groomed and maintained but the bunkers could use more sand and less small pebbles. There are obvious signs of course improvement projects and water feature additions. The landscape is incredibly beautiful with Mount Currie to the South East. According to the proshop staff bear sightings are common. Fun, and surprisingly challenging for a 9 hole, par 3. Nice driving range, and more than worth the low fees they charge ($5 bucket of balls, and $10 a round or $18 all day). It was my first day out this year and I had a great time at this course. Braeben is built on an old dump ( fantastic way to reclaim the land in the city) There is a driving range up on the top and the golf course itself is built to go around the large mountain created by the old landfill. Braeben's golf carts all have GPS onboard as well. I found this course to be fantastic for me since there are not a lot of trees to get lost in. Played well here today i shot an 88 even though i shot an 8 on the first hole. The greens were in bad shape as they had just been aerated however usually they are nice. The price was right and we got to play with two nice guys Jerry and Bill.
